Job Summary
Deliver a quality educational experience by teaching Surgical Technology curriculum, devising written lesson plans, and implementing them through lecture and demonstration. Prepare, administer, and grade written and practical examinations while maintaining records of student progress, attendance, and grades. Plan and assign student activities in classroom and clinical settings to attain program objectives, and discuss student concerns to ensure satisfactory academic progress. Oversee laboratory sessions by providing hands-on instruction, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Provide a professional role model and assist students in developing values appropriate to the health care profession.
Required Qualifications
- A credential in the field of Surgical Technology that is through a national credentialing organization accredited by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- CST certified
- AS in ST
- minimum of three (3) years of operating room experience or teaching in the field, or a combination of the two, within five years prior to hire date
