Job Summary
Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, instruments, and supplies, ensuring all equipment functions properly. Assist with patient positioning and draping, then pass instruments to the physician while continuously accounting for their location. Receive and process specimens for laboratory delivery. Maintain critical thinking and decisive judgment to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Full-time, 72-hour days with a $44 hourly rate plus travel stipend. 13-week assignments available for local travelers within 75 miles.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or military trained
- Surgical Technologist program
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration
- 1-year experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
