Job Summary
Prepare surgical operating suites with drapes, instruments, and supplies. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and passing instruments to the physician during procedures. Continually account for instrument and supply inventory throughout the case. Receive and process specimens for laboratory delivery. Ensure good working order of all equipment and instruments. This role requires weekend shifts (Friday through Sunday) from 0630 to 1900. Candidates must hold a state Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration, one year of experience, and valid BLS or CPR certification. Assignments are 13 weeks with extension options available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or Military Trained
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration
- 1 year experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Hybrid Endovascular experience
- open vascular surgery experience
- Weekend Days
- Shift times 0630-1900 Friday Saturday Sunday
