Job Summary
Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies. Ensure good working order of equipment and instruments. Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients. Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies. Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory. This 13-week assignment offers 72 hours per pay period at $44.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend for local travelers within 75 miles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or Military Trained
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (needs be through DORA)
- 1 year experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
