Surgical Technologist

Prepare the operating room, ensure equipment functions safely, and maintain constant vigilance of the sterile field during surgical procedures. Anticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments, supplies, and medications while performing counts and applying electrocautery as directed. Assist with patient positioning, wound care, and endoscopic or robotic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager. Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique and correct any breaks in the field immediately. This part-time role at The University of Kansas Health System requires a Surgical Tech degree or equivalent experience and BLS certification.
