Job Summary
Per diem Surgical Technologist responsible for supporting sterile technique in the operating room, preparing and passing instruments, maintaining sterile field, assisting the surgeon, performing counts, specimen handling, and ensuring adherence to Universal Protocol and infection-control standards. Role requires a degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program and BLS certification; prior hospital experience preferred. Duties include EMR documentation, on-call rotation, and collaboration with the surgical team. Assigned to Altoona, WI on-site with 8 hours per week across various shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Surgical Technologist certification preferred
- BLS certification is required upon hire
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital environment is preferred
- Must possess a cell phone that interfaces with the organization’s secure message system
