Job Summary
Provide assistance to the surgical team during the intra-operative phase and maintain a sterile, safe environment. Manage OR preparation, instrument supply and assembly, and conduct hands-off instrument checks and counts throughout procedures. Perform on-call duties as needed for weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Requires graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, CST certification within 12 months of hire, and Basic Life Support certification. Fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exempt by statement.
Required Qualifications
- Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training
- Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program
- Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologist within 12 months of graduation from program or within 6 months of hire if greater than 12 months from graduation
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Weeknights, weekends and holiday on-call rotation
