Job Summary
Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures while maintaining a sterile environment and sterilizing all instruments before surgery. Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon, assist with various tasks, and count and manage sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures. Help position and drape patients appropriately and communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations. This role is available Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, for Certified Surgical Technologists at Saint John Hospital—Leavenworth, KS.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted) upon hire and maintained
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in various surgical specialties
- Graduation from an ORT training program within 6 months of hire or on-the-job training with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting
