Job Summary
Assists in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients; scrubs for procedures; maintains sterile technique; assists with turnover and room prep; handles instrumentation, counts, and equipment; communicates with surgical team and supports quality improvement in the OR.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technician program or equivalent education, experience, or training.
- Three to five years of current experience in a multi-specialty inpatient or outpatient surgery department required.
- Certified Surgical Technician preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare required.
