Job Summary
Assure quality care as a health care team member within the Perioperative environment under the Perioperative leader. Anticipate, plan for, and respond to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians. Current certified surgical technologist certification is required, with renewal every four years and annual completion of 15 CEU credits. Maintain current CPR certification. Healthcare experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent GED
- Must be a graduate of a Surgical Technologist program
- Must provide evidence of employment as a Surgical Technologist prior to July 1, 2009
- Must have current certified surgical technologist certification
- Must obtain certification within 12 months completion of a degree from an accredited school of surgical technology
- Must provide evidence of employment as a certified surgical technologist prior to July 1, 2009
- Must be a current valid licensed practitioner
- Must provide evidence of employment as a surgical technologist
- Certification must be renewed every four years
- Completes required 15 CEU credits annually
- Must maintain current CPR certification
