Job Summary
Under the Perioperative leader, anticipate, plan for, and respond to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members while assuring quality care within the Perioperative environment. Maintain confidentiality regarding patients, families, coworkers, and physicians. Complete required 15 CEU credits annually and renew certification every four years, while maintaining current CPR certification. Lift 50 pounds or share 100-pound loads. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and general computer proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or the equivalent GED
- graduate of a Surgical Technologist program
- evidence of employment as a Surgical Technologist prior to July 1, 2009
- current certified surgical technologist certification
- obtain certification within 12 months completion of a degree from an accredited school of surgical technology
- evidence of employment as a certified surgical technologist prior to July 1, 2009
- current valid licensed practitioner
- evidence of employment as a surgical technologist
- current CPR certification
- 15 CEU credits annually
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- 100 pounds shared lifting
