Job Summary
As a Surgical Technologist, you will function as a member of the surgery team, handling instruments, supplies, and equipment; maintain asepsis and sterile field; prepare operating rooms; assist the surgeon by anticipating needs and ensuring proper patient positioning and safety; participate in infection control and workflow optimization; maintain equipment and supplies, and support cost-effective patient care. Requires education in surgical technology, BLS certification, and cardiovascular experience; NBSTSA certification preferred; opportunities for growth and advancement; shift and scheduling as determined by the department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR Graduate of a Military Surgical Technology Training Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association - Within 60 days of hire or transfer
- Surgical Technician Certificate from an accredited program (if applicable)
- Certification - Within 12 months of hire (NBSTSA) or equivalent
- 2+ years cardiovascular experience
- Preferred: NBSTSA CST certification and an Associate degree of Applied Science in Surgical Technology
