Job Summary
Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room responsible for providing surgical instruments to the surgical team, coordinating perioperative care with teammates, and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. The role supports Mercy’s mission and service standards; requires a high-school diploma or GED (with preferred postsecondary surgical technology education), BLS certification, and the ability to communicate in English. Required Qualifications
- High-School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association
- Ability to understand English (written and spoken)
- May consider non-certified candidates with applicable surgical technologist experience (depending on job level)

- Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology (preferred)
- Surgical Technology Certification (preferred)
