Job Summary
Provide assistance to the surgical team during the intra-operative phase and maintain a sterile environment. Manage OR preparation, instrument supply and assembly, sterile field maintenance, hands-off instruments, and initiation of counts throughout procedures. Perform Surgical Technologist duties including on-call duties as needed. This 40-hour day shift assignment includes weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation. The role may require floating to Charlton Memorial, St. Luke's, or Tobey hospitals. Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program and CST certification are required.
Required Qualifications
- Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training
- Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program
- Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologist
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- One (1) year of Surgical Technologist experience
- Weeknight, Weekend and Holiday Call Rotation
