Job Summary
Provide assistance to the surgical team during the intra-operative phase and maintain a sterile environment. Prepare the operating room, assemble instrument supplies, maintain sterile fields, and initiate counts throughout procedures. Perform on-call duties as needed for day shifts at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA, with potential float to Charlton Memorial, St. Luke's, and Tobey hospitals. Complete a Surgical Technology Program, hold CST certification, and possess one year of experience. Earn $55/hr for a full-time, 11-13 week assignment with an option to extend.
Required Qualifications
- Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training
- Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program
- Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologist
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- One (1) year of Surgical Technologist experience
