Job Summary
Conduct surgical procedures in the Labor & Delivery unit by managing instruments, supplies, and equipment while ensuring patient safety and quality care. Provide technical assistance and support to medical staff during and after surgical turnover, specializing in neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Requires a high school diploma, accredited surgical technology program graduation, and two years of OR experience, plus American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Certification as a CST or TS-C is preferred. Schedule includes a 7PM-7AM shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) credential
- Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program and working as a Surgical Technologist with two (2) years of experience
- Five (5) years of full-time employment within the last seven (7) years in an Operating Room setting working as a Surgical Technologist
- Work Hours: 7PM-7AM
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Technologist in Surgery- Certified (TS-C) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
