Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery Birth Center using the nursing process, prioritizing wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge within a fast-paced clinical environment. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while adhering to AWHONN and AACN practice standards. This onsite role requires a High School diploma, state Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration, and 6 months of surgical tech experience or graduation from an accredited program. BLS or CPR certification must be held prior to start and remain valid through 60 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or Military trained
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration
- 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
