Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery Birth Center utilizing the nursing process, adhering to AWHONN and AACN practice standards. Provide top-of-scope practice while modeling proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Prioritize patient wellness, evidence-based practice, and multidisciplinary team collaboration to ensure safety and quality at the point of care. This onsite position requires a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant with at least six months of experience and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or Military trained
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration
- 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
