Surgical Technologist-KP 5 OR-Evening Shift(37.5 hours)

Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician in procedural areas under the direction of a licensed professional nurse. Anticipate and gather needed supplies, equipment prior to care based on procedure preference cards, and escalate outstanding needs with the RN Circulator. Provide on-call coverage proficiently, ensure specimens are appropriately identified and labeled in collaboration with the Registered nurse, and report unexpected events such as counts, specimens, or breaks in aseptic techniques to RN staff and leadership. Support quality and performance improvement programs by contributing to data collection, metrics, and projects including turnover times and time outs. Incorporate new practices into the plan of care, maintain knowledge of standards, and participate in the orientation of new staff to the scrub role intraoperatively.
