Surgical Technologist Inpatient | Labor and Delivery

Prepares the Operating Room for surgical procedures and assists the surgeon as the first or second scrub person, maintaining a sterile field and handling instruments. Supports procedure-room setup, equipment cleaning/maintenance, and post-procedure tasks; verifies implants with surgeons/nurses; assists with instrument counts and tracking, decontamination and sterilization, and operation of sterilizers and related equipment. Provides on-the-job training and orientation for new staff, and transports patients to the OR as needed. Works within a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient, safe surgical care in Labor and Delivery procedures.
