Job Summary
Full-Time Surgical Technologist (ST) at Inova Franconia-Springfield Ambulatory Surgery Center. Scrub surgical procedures under RN supervision; assist with transferring and positioning patients; perform instrument/sharp/sponges counts; prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, equipment, and rooms; anticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments during procedures; recognize safety hazards and implement corrective measures; contribute as a key team member to the Surgery Center’s goals. Requires 2+ years of ST experience, completion of a Surgical Tech program, certification or experience, Virginia registration, and BLS. Day shift only with 8–10 hour options; no nights, weekends, call, or holidays. Benefits include health, retirement, tuition and loan support.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of Surgical Tech (ST) experience
- Completion of an appropriate Surgical Tech program
- Surgical Tech certification or experience required
- Registered to practice in the State of Virginia
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- BLS certification is required
