Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist assists the surgical team in the Operating Room, providing direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse and surgeon. Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining a sterile field, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Required qualifications include completion of a surgical technology program and strong leadership and organizational skills. The role involves acting as a mentor and resource for others, participating in performance improvement activities, and adhering to infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of surgical technology program.
- Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment.
- Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) – three (3) years surgical scrub experience preferred.
- CST Certification preferred.
