Job Summary
Assist specific service areas in the Surgical Suite under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician. Perform duties as an assistant to the surgical team across specialties including general, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, vascular, and minimally invasive procedures. Work six hours daily from 6:30 AM to 5 PM at the Cooper Surgery Center in Moorestown. Maintain certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or equivalent organization, completing 15 hours of annual continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists
- Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT – National Center for Competency Testing, etc.)
- Must annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a Surgical Technologist in NJ
- 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred
