Job Summary
Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique, preparing and maintaining operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies. Monitor inventory levels of surgical instruments and supplies, and clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with infection control and hospital safety standards. Handle medications under the direct supervision of the surgeon or registered nurse, and participate in department meetings, ongoing training, and performance improvement initiatives. Foster a collaborative, patient-focused surgical environment committed to quality care. Full-time role with 10-hour shifts and variable weekend on-call rotation. Orthopedic and spine care expertise preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience
- Surgical Technologist certification
- Ability to independently scrub a variety of surgical specialties
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
