Surgical Technologist II

Job Summary
Surgical Technologist II assists the surgical team under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) by verifying health data and observing the patient; performs first and second scrub duties and table setup to provide a sterile and prepared environment for surgery. Maintains asepsis; observes and reports patient health changes to adapt the care plan; gathers supplies and checks equipment; verifies health status data with the circulating nurse to keep detailed records; completes basic scrub duties and table setups; may perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- ARC/STSA accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training with surgical tech experience
- 1 year surgical tech experience
- BLS (CPR) - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); credential waiver for CST if held before 12/31/2017
