Job Summary
Prepare for surgery, set up instruments and equipment, and assist in procedures while maintaining surgical suites. Share in OR suite cleaning, preparation, and maintenance of specialized supplies. Maintain sterilization techniques and dispose of hazardous waste. Use surgical instruments and knowledge of step-by-step sequences for procedures. Handle surgical specimens and file path and procedure chart reports. Requires High School Diploma, Surgical Technology School graduation, two years of experience, and BLS certification. Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians
- (BLS) Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology School or program recognized by the Association of Surgical Technologists
- 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist
- Knowledge of Orthopaedic, GYN, and General Surgery
