Job Summary
Prepare for surgery by setting up instruments and equipment, assisting in procedures, and maintaining the surgical suite. Share in cleaning, preparation, and maintenance of specialized supplies while adhering to sterilization techniques and hazardous waste disposal. Utilize knowledge of step-by-step surgical sequences to handle instruments and manage specimens. File and copy path and procedure chart reports, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma, surgical technology program graduation, two years of experience, and current New Hampshire Board registration. BLS certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians
- (BLS) Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology School or program recognized by the Association of Surgical Technologists
- 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist
- Knowledge of Orthopaedic, GYN, and General Surgery
