Job Summary
Surgical Technologist I/II position requires handling surgical instruments and maintaining sterile technique during procedures. Entry-level candidates are responsible for preoperative duties including patient transfer and equipment preparation, while experienced candidates will perform these responsibilities under general supervision. Mandatory qualifications include a high school diploma, accredited surgical technology training completion, and necessary certifications. Level II candidates must have 3+ years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of aseptic techniques. The role is part-time with salary ranging from $26.43 to $39.28 hourly based on experience level.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program (CAAHEP or ABHES) for level II
- Surgical Technician Certification for level II
- Strong working knowledge of aseptic technique
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in an acute care OR setting for level II
- American Heart Association Responder or Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card
Desired Qualifications
- Ophthalmology experience preferred
- Surgical Trauma experience preferred
- Validates competencies in all designated surgical sub-specialties
Additional Requirements
- Applicants must attach a copy of their Surgical Technology Training Certificate/Diploma
- Applicants may be required to pass an extensive background investigation and be fingerprinted
