Surgical Technologist I, Certified

Performs technical and clinical duties to support surgical procedures in the operating room, including preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, ensuring aseptic technique, maintaining instrument functionality, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow. Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms and equipment, assisting during procedures with sterile items, handling specimens, maintaining sterility, inspecting instruments, anticipating intraoperative needs, mentoring junior technologists and students, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires CST or TS-C certification, BLS, and 2-5 years of experience in a healthcare/clinical setting; shift is days in Lexington, KY.
