Surgical Technologist (H)

Surgical Technologist (H) at SSM Health Outpatient Center-Sun Prairie. Responsible for providing patient care activities and related non-professional services to support the operating room under RN supervision. Sets up the operating room with needed items, gathers supplies and instruments, handles instruments during procedures, and communicates information to the RN. Performs aseptic technique, prepares equipment, maintains resource needs, and supports documentation and quality controls. Collaborates with the RN and surgical team to implement the plan of care and ensure efficient, safe perioperative care. Requires either a high school diploma/GED with extensive OR-related experience or graduation from an accredited surgical technician program, and current Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) certification. The role emphasizes organization, prioritization, teamwork, and safe operation of surgical equipment across a variety of procedures, with duties aligned to the unit’s standards and policies.
