Job Summary
Tufts Medicine is seeking entry level Surgical Technologists to assist in the Operating Room by delivering patient care throughout the perioperative experience. Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique, providing instruments to the surgeon, and participating in surgical counts. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic life support certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Before July 1, 2013, employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility or successfully completed a training program for surgical technology in the military or graduated from an accredited Surgical Tech Program
- 0-Less than 12 Months of healthcare experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Graduates of an accredited Surgical Tech Program must obtain credential within 12 months of graduation date
