Job Summary
Verify surgery consent forms and bring patients to the assigned operating room. Pass instruments to the surgeon, anticipate supply needs, and perform appropriate counts with the circulator before incision and closure. Prepare and secure sterile dressings, set up the sterile table with necessary instruments and medications, and help drape the sterile field. Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization, then assist with room turnover and prep for the next patient.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation acknowledgment
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant acute care experience
- National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
