Facilitates physician procedures in the operating room by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment; maintains sterile field; passes instruments to the surgeon; anticipates needs; performs instrument counts; prepares sterile table and dressings; assists in room turnover; contributes to quality patient care throughout the operative procedure.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
- National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified: Preferred
