Job Summary
Facilitates physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. Manages instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures; ensures sterile field maintenance and quality patient care throughout operations. Prepares sterile tables, assists in draping, passes instruments to the surgeon, conducts instrument and supply counts, prepares dressings, and supports room turnover. Requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program (Associate Degree or Certificate) and BLS certification; CPR/BLS may be required per AH policy. Works in a sterile, operating-room environment within Adventist Health, located in Calistoga, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology: Required
- National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified: Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy vendor: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy vendor: Required
- Prerequisites include: CPR/BLS certification per AH policy: Preferred
