Job Summary
Performs instrumentation and supplies handling to support physician-performed invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. Maintains sterile field, passes instruments to the surgeon, anticipates needs, conducts instrument counts, and prepares dressings. Sets up sterile table, ensures turnover readiness, and verifies consent for procedures. Requires an accredited Surgical Technology program and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR/BLS preferred. Responsibilities include equipment preparation, cleaning/sterilization, and assisting the team throughout operative cases.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
