Surgical Technologist, Full-Time, Day Shift

Facilitates physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures; handles instruments, supplies, and equipment during the surgical procedure; maintains sterile field and ensures quality patient care. Verifies consent forms, passes instruments to the surgeon, anticipates supplies, performs instrument counts with the circulator prior to incision and before closure, prepares sterile dressings, and sets up the sterile table. Assists in the cleaning and turnover of the room and participates in preparing for the next patient. Requires an Associate Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS (and preferred: NBST or AST certification; acute care experience).
