Surgical Technologist for Labor and Delivery

Job Summary
Provides intraoperative care to patients by functioning as the scrub person assisting the surgical team during an operative procedure in Labor and Delivery; performs sponge, instrument, and needle counts; assists with gowning/gloving and positioning; prepares supplies and equipment; assists with sterilization and maintenance of supplies; monitors inventory and charges; supports team development; requires LPN license with scrub experience or surgical technology certification and BLS within 30 days; duties emphasize aseptic technique, sterile field management, and collaboration with RN and surgeons.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND two (2) years of previous scrub experience, OR Completion of a Surgical Technology Program AND surgical technologist certification
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
