Surgical Technologist First Assist (STFA) - OR - Full Time - Days

Assist surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical tasks while functioning as a Surgical Technologist as needed. Anticipate surgeon preferences and patient needs for sutures and instrumentation, ensuring implants and specialized equipment remain available and functioning. Monitor patient status and respond to potential complications, maintaining strict sterile field integrity and infection prevention standards. Serve as a vital clinical resource within the OR, communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and staff to coordinate workflow. Complete ongoing education to maintain competency and assist with onboarding and mentoring coworkers. Work full-time days shifts with call, supporting patient safety and surgical efficiency under the guidance of the surgeon.
