Job Summary
Cover on-call procedures in the General and Ortho departments at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL, by preparing and monitoring equipment, passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and assisting with patient transfer and positioning. Operate autonomously with minimal supervision to provide intraoperative care to perioperative patients. Maintain certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and hold Basic Life Support (BLS). Full-time dedicated call schedule with 40 weekly hours and a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized surgical technology program
- Successfully completed military training in surgical technology
- Military documentation to establish education includes a DD214 demonstrating graduation from a military training program
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years working as a Surgical Technologist working in healthcare setting
- 1 year of experience working as a surgical technologist
- Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) issued by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
