Surgical Technologist (CST) -OR General Surgery

Job Summary
Provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures; ensure the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment and supplies in the operating room to each operation; assist the surgeon during the operation as allowed by professional and legal standards; assist with cleaning operating room after the operation ensuring proper routing of equipment and used material; maintain sterile field and patient safety concepts; required NBSTSA certification or ability to obtain within one year, CPR/BLS validation, and knowledge of asepsis; strong interpersonal/communication skills and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon; location includes Hartford HealthCare network facilities with multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technician program
- NBSTSA certification or ability to obtain within one year
- CPR and BLS validation
