Surgical Technologist

Job Summary
Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, and supplying medications to surgeons. Accurately checks required supplies and equipment, assembles operative instrumentation, and sets up sterile fields demonstrating careful attention to aseptic technique. Completes instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the Registered Nurse, cleans equipment and facilities, and transports patients according to unit schedules. Performs clerical duties and other job-related tasks as assigned. Requires Surgery Technician certification, CPR/BLS certification, and an accredited surgical technology program. Located in The Dalles, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited surgical technology program
- Surgery Technician certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Accessed and read the E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices and understand the contents therein
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Scrub technician experience
- Operating room experience and/or training course
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
