Surgical Technologist

Prepare surgical cases by creating and maintaining sterile fields, retracting and passing instruments, and supplying medications to surgeons during procedures. Accurately check required supplies and equipment before each case, assemble operative instrumentation, and set up sterile fields demonstrating aseptic technique. Collect data on assigned cases, complete instrument, sponge, and blade counts with the Registered Nurse, and clean equipment and facilities as necessary. Transport patients according to unit schedules and priorities while performing requested housekeeping and clerical duties. This role is represented by OFNHP. Adventist Health Columbia Gorge serves the Columbia River Gorge community with a 49-bed hospital, medical offices, home health, and a birthing center.
