Job Summary
Surgical Technologist position assisting perioperative teams as first/second assisting technician or second circulator under RN supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining asepsis and sterile environment, preparing and organizing supplies, collaborating with surgeons and OR staff to ensure trays, instrumentation, and supplies are ready, participating in Time Out, room turnover, inventory control, data collection, and participation in quality/performance-improvement and infection-control activities. Requires BLS within 30 days and an accredited Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate; hands-on surgical technology experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Education: Associate's Degree: Surgical Technology; Certificate of Completion: Surgical Technology
- Work Experience: Surgical technologist
