Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Birth Center, Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, Women's Care, and NICU units using the nursing process. Prioritize patient wellness and evidence-based practice while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to safety and quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team environment guided by AWHONN and AACN standards. Maintain current BLS or CPR certification through the start date and sixty days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or Military trained
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration
- 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
