Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Birth Center, Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, Women's Care, and NICU units. Apply evidence-based practice and the nursing process to ensure patient safety and quality at the point of care. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and supporting competency validation through clinical orientation. Contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach that prioritizes patient wellness and exceptional outcomes. Maintain valid BLS or CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or Military trained
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration
- 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
