Surgical Technologist

Surgical Technologist position in Lexington, KY. Responsibilities include assisting as a scrub member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse, performing scrub functions, supporting the perioperative plan of care, and applying aseptic technique (gowning, gloving, sterilization, disinfection). Active participation in unit activities, maintaining positive customer relations, and readiness to be on call on weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation. Requires completion of a Surgical Technology program and an earned Technical Diploma or Associate degree; BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. The role is full-time on first shift within the operating room and is part of Baptist Health Lexington’s Surgical Services Department.
