Job Summary
Participates as a surgical team member in the operating room by preparing the OR and setting up for procedures, identifying supplies and instruments, and maintaining a sterile field. Assists the physician in the scrub role during surgical procedures, handles medications and specimens per policy, and ensures aseptic technique and regulatory compliance. May perform sterile processing as needed and will eventually be required to take call after orientation. Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program and certification within the stated options; must hold current BLS certification. 8-hour day/evening shifts, 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period), with occasional weekends; pay range $36.07–$47.99 per hour. Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program
- Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: Certified Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 1 year of hire OR Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) Certification within 1 year of hire
- Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association OR Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross OR Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
