Surgical Technologist

Prepare surgical cases by creating and maintaining sterile fields, retracting instruments, and passing supplies and medications to surgeons. Accurately check required supplies and equipment, assemble operative instrumentation, and set up sterile fields demonstrating careful aseptic technique. Collect case data based on Performance Standards of Care, complete instrument and sponge counts with the Registered Nurse, and transport patients according to unit schedules. Perform housekeeping duties, label solutions per established standards, and provide clerical support as assigned. Requires accredited surgical technology program, Surgery Technician certification, and CPR/BLS certification.
