Job Summary
Prepare surgical cases by creating and maintaining sterile fields, retracting instruments, and passing supplies to surgeons. Accurately check required equipment, assemble operative instrumentation, and set up sterile fields demonstrating careful aseptic technique. Collect data on assigned cases, complete instrument and sponge counts with the RN, and clean equipment and facilities as necessary. Transport patients according to schedules and perform clerical duties as assigned. Requires accredited surgical technology program, Surgery Technician certification, and CPR/BLS certification. Located in The Dalles, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited surgical technology program
- Surgery Technician certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Scrub technician experience
- Operating room experience and/or training course
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
