Surgical Technologist Acute I - Atrium Health Lincoln PRN

Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure; assists Registered Nurse circulator in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments, equipment and proper disposition of specimens; assists with all aspects of room turnover. Monitors sterilization activities and ensures compliant use of supplies; participates in department policy/procedure development and in Performance Improvement processes. Requires ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment with a shift pattern including 1800-0600, lifting up to 35 pounds, and frequent standing. Education/Certifications include High School Diploma or GED, Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider, and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program (military training acceptable); current certification preferred.
